It is with a heavy heart that I have to write that my mother, Mollie Weinstein Schaffer, passed away  peacefully on Saturday night after a long illness.   She was a member of the greatest generation and served her country as a WAC stationed in Europe during WWII.   We are saddened and she will be missed very much by all who knew her. It was just announced.    “Mollie’s War” won first place in biography/memoir at the 2012 Royal Dragonfly Book contest.    We  are very excited.
