This has been a great Veterans Day, telling my mother’s story and honoring Veterans at three different locations. It was wonderful speaking at two senior living facilities and watching all of the WWII Veterans being honored, including my mother. Then speaking at Temple in the evening with Fred Rosenberg was such an emotional feeling.
Now I will be speaking again on Monday, November 14th at the Lincolnwood Social Club, 6900 N. Lincoln, Lincolnwood at 10 AM. Come join me as I speak about “Mollie’s War.”

My mother, Mollie Weinstein Schaffer and I attended a wonderful event Monday evening at the Chicago History Museum for Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime Foundation sponsored by Brookdale Senior Living.   My mother was one of four WWII Veterans honored for their military service during WWII.
